This is how it goes down. You've moved past the past, maybe you're seeing someone else, or perhaps you're just chilling and content for the time being.
Either way, the EX is no longer something you think about or question yourself about. No more asking "what could I have done differently?" or "why didn't I realize they were crazy sooner." Yea, AFTER these questions are no longer in your thoughts, that always seems to be the time that EX decides to "text."
Or perhaps it's the beginning of Fall, and as we all know that change to colder temps naturally makes just about all animals more desirous of affection and warmth.
Now what? They sent you a text. How do you handle it?
We all know the USUAL types of messages that are sent:
1. I miss you.
2. What's up?
3. Can I see you?
4. just thinking about you...
5. just checking on you...
or they'll drop hints on social media perhaps. (that is if you two didn't have a huge falling out)
The social media hints are:
1. Happy Holidays to you and your significant other - (basically they are fishing to find out if you're single)
2. Clicking like on several photos or posts - they want you to be aware they are "looking"
3. Looking good - obvious intentions with this one
4. Inviting you to events - hoping you'll message them to get more info or show up
Of course there are many others, but what are YOU supposed to do with this?
IGNORE IT! - at least if by the end of it you understood you two were not compatible. When it ended, you had a clear idea in your mind that this was not going to work. DO NOT let current needs and situations make you reconsider the facts that you FULLY understood in that past time.
OR ... what if you let it go for some other reason? What if they backed off because you didn't have enough time for them but you regretted it? What if life just got in the way and you two peacefully chose to put it all on pause? THEN IN THAT CASE.. Say "hi" and let the possibilities go where they will...
