In the battle to define
what is the
It's just one of those days, and it's not just the ladies who know what I'm talking about. We all have them.
After all, we've all only got so much energy in our bodies & spirits. We are not endlessly supplied everyday. Just like we take a car to get gas & change the oil, we've got to do the same for our bodies & spirits. Our bodies most often receive fuel, because we demand it, and we are well attuned to recognizing those "hunger" & "thirst" signals.
What about your spirit though?
To understand how to care for spiritual health, first we have to understand what they are made of, and what they affect.
Emotional states are often tied to our spiritual health, and when our spirits are uneasy, the signs are found in our emotions, moods, & responses to others.
When you're down, you know you want the right kind of treatment to get you through it. It could be some peace and quiet, some affection, playing sports, a drink or 2, a smoke or 2... whatever it is you need, you hope those around you will create the environment that allows for that. You want those around you to support your search for comfort.
HERE'S THE KEY: You must do the same for the people in your life.
We act like people are not permitted to have bad moods sometimes. So when people act in a way we don't understand, we often judge them for it. We act like it was uncalled for and unjustified, INSTEAD OF asking "What's wrong?" or saying "I can tell something's bothering you. Let's do something or give you some time alone so you can get through this."
SHOW THE CONSIDERATION THAT YOU WANT. Then, expect nothing less in return.
